About Us

Both Robert and myself (Jane) are in our mid 30s. Robert is a Comprehensive Registered Nurse and I am a Systems Co-ordinator for Health and Safety and Quality Assurance. Robert also enjoys training and competing in 1/2 and full marathons annually.

We have recently moved to beautiful Waikato on a lifestyle block. Prior to this we were lucky enough to move onto over 60acres of rolling pastural land, complete with a river, stream and endless waterfalls on the Lower Kaimai Ranges, New Zealand just over 15 years ago. This lead to a new journey of our lives with deer of many species (Reds, Rusa, Sika and Fallow) becoming a major focus of our lives. We hand raised many fawns and now have nearly 6 generations of very friendly offspring, all with names and recognised by all!!

One of my fallow girls daughter presented us with twin baby girls, not only is this exceptionally rare, but being same sex, identical and white is even rarer. These girls are now mums of their own!! We have always been surrounded by any animal I could bring home and have enjoyed our endless pets over the years. As my 2 crossbreed dogs were becoming older I wanted a smaller dog that was a hot water bottle at nights and tough enough for farm life at days. We met Gill Mathieson (Balmacara Tibetan spaniels) at a Pet Expo with her tibbies. They were the perfect breed and we quickly signed up on the waiting list!! We were fortunate enough for 2 litters to be born with 7 puppies to choose from. With so many gorgeous pups, I fell in love with Tallulah the moment I saw her. Gill encouraged us into the showring scene and Tallulah was shortly followed by Lydia, Khyi, Magic, Ronan and Mela. Tallulah has since whelped our first 2x homebred litters in 2005 and 2007, and given us some wonderful puppies to include in our future breeding plans. And so our dog story continues...
