NEWSFLASH: After over 1year break from the show ring, Ronan returns and wins BEST OF BREED, DOG CHALLENGE AND NZ BRED OF BREED UNDER Sue Bruno, Queensland, AUSTRALIA. (21 entered)
NEWSFLASH: RONAN WINS BEST OF BREED, DOG CHALLENGE AND NZ BRED OF BREED UNDER MR JOHN SULLIVAN, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA. THERE WERE 22 LEONBERGERS ENTERED IN THIS SHOW, THE LARGEST ENTRY EVER IN NZ!! THIS CHALLENGE ALSO MEANS HE QUALIFIES FOR THE BRONZE CERTIFICATE OF MERIT (20 CHALLENGES). NEWSFLASH - At just 21mths Ronan takes his first BEST OF UTILITY GROUP and Best Junior of Group under BIS judge Mrs McErlane (Auckland). He is the first Leo to earn this at such a young age. Ronan regularly takes BOB, RBOB, Dog and Reserve Dog Challenges and is frequently cut on the Best of Group line up. The only leonberger he is yet to beat is his father. Ronan earns his championship in just 10 Championship shows. He also achieved BIS in the David and Goliath Match 2006. On his third show at 9months Ronan takes Best Puppy in Utility Group at an Allbreeds Champ Show under BIS Judge Mr John Perfect (Nelson, NZ) and gains 2x dog Challenges and 2x Best of Breeds. Ronan has since achieved another 3x dog challenges and Best of Breeds, and Best Junior of Group under Australian Judge Mrs P Cannon at the Taranaki Non Sporting and Utility Championship Show April 2005. Ronan is bred and co-owned by Fran(Skyewood Leonbergers and Charlotte (Leonz Leonbergers). He has great shoes to fill, his sire "Wookie" (NZ BIS CH Prideland's First Impression) an Allbreeds BIS winner, and dam "Mimmi" (NZ CH Bolelejonet Velvet Violett) a Swedish import. We would like to send a big thanks to Fran and Charlotte for letting Ronan become part of our family and we look forward campaigning him in the near future.
